Refunds, Returns and Exchanges

We Encourage Easy and No-Hassle Returns

Ital Gifts is a community-based marketplace made up of independent sellers who manage and run their own stores.

In simple terms, Ital Gifts is one big store containing smaller stores run by individual sellers.

Ital Gifts has no warehouse. When you shop on Ital Gifts, you are directly supporting independent sellers who manage their own orders and store their own inventory.

Each seller is responsible for their own policies regarding refunds, exchanges and returns and policies will vary from store to store.

 

Shoppers are encouraged to initially contact the seller if they have a question or experience an issue with the item; Sellers can answer most questions and solve most problems

Returns
Most items can be returned within 14 days of purchase.
Before initiating a return, please first contact the seller.  Items will need to be returned directly to seller.

Please email Ital Gifts at – myorder @ italgifts.com – with the order number, so we can monitor the process.

 

Packaging returns with care reduces the chances of damage in transit and assists the seller with processing of the return.

Sellers cannot be held responsible for items damaged or lost in return shipment, therefore we recommend sending returned items via a track-able signature required delivery service, as this offers protection for shoppers, if the seller does not receive the item.

Please note, refusal of delivery of a parcel is not always a track-able means of return. Shoppers should accept delivery of the item(s) they want to return.

 

Returning or Exchanging an Item
For returned items which are damaged or defective or not as described, the delivery and handling charges for returning these items should be paid by the seller.

To ensure the safe return of the item(s), please package with care.
For items valued over £50, we recommend using a track-able, signature required delivery service.

For items valued £100 or more, we recommend items are insured to the value of the item and a track-able, signature required delivery service is used.

In most cases, the item(s) must be returned unworn, unwashed and undamaged.

 

CDs and DVDs must be returned unopened.

Posters, paintings and vinyl records can only be returned if the product is defective or damaged and some items cannot be returned due to health protection or hygiene reasons.

 

The Seller’s Responsibilities
Sellers are expected to clearly state their policies regarding returns and exchanges in their listings.
This includes:
• Whether the seller accept returns
• The time frame in which the seller will accept a return

When sellers enter into a return agreement with a buyer, we require the seller to fulfil that agreement and this may include providing Ital Gifts with proof a replacement item has been dispatched

 

Refunds
Ital Gifts will refund the order no later than 7 days from the day on which the seller receive the returned item(s). We are in most cases unable to issue a refund without the seller’s confirmation of receipt of the item or sufficient proof of return of delivery.

Ital Gifts will refund payment using the original form of payment method used and customers will not incur any fees for such reimbursement.

Customers waiting for a refund via PayPal should check their PayPal account.

Customers, who pay via card, will have their payment returned to their credit or debit card. It can take up to 30 days for refunds to show on card statements.

 

Dispute an Order
Payments processed by PayPal are covered under the PayPal Buyer Protection Policy

If you have contacted the seller more than 48 hours ago and the seller is unable to help, their next step is to let us know so we can resolve the issue.

At Ital Gifts, we place great emphasis on our shoppers’ customer experience, which is why we take a proactive approach to disputes.
To ensure our reputation, as well as the reputation of other sellers, remains intact, in the event of a dispute, we may take immediate action to provide a refund to the shopper, regardless of the seller’s policies on returns, refunds, and exchanges. In such cases, the seller will be held liable for any resulting losses.
